Dr. Miraqa Hussainkhail (Farm Management and Farmer Organizations)

Dr. Miraqa was born in 1979. In 2012 he obtained his Ph.D in Agricultural Economics at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan. He is agricultural development expert, with four years teaching and seven years research and working experiences focuses on farm management, development of farmer organizations and cooperative enterprises. His earliest professional experience was in agriculture as lecturer at Kabul University and project manager with Afghan Agro Services (AAS). He, then, worked as National Policy Advisor and cooperative enterprise specialist, Capacity Building and Change Management Project (CBCMP), Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock. After two years, he returned back to AAS, where he served in several capacities including Project Manager, R&D Manager, and Technical Advisor. Currently, he works as assistant professor at Kabul University and Independent consultant for national and international organizations. He has published numerous journal articles on Agriculture and Economic issues particularly in the area of cooperative, extension and farm management. He also attended numerous conferences and professional meetings inside and outside the country.


Dr. Khal Mohammad Ahmadzai (Agribusiness and Food Security)

Dr. Khal Mohammad Ahmazai was born in 1983. After completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics at Kabul University in 2005, he completed an English language course at the American University of Afghanistan. He is an agricultural economist. From 2006 until 2009 he worked for the government and private sector and conducted research on agribusiness and rural market at Kabul University. In 2014 he obtained his Ph.D in Agricultural Economics at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan concentrating on agribusiness. Currently, he works as assistant professor at Kabul University and teaches agribusiness, agro-policy and economic development. He has developed business plans for many companies and published numerous journal articles on agribusiness, food security, gender policy and rural development issues. He also attended numerous conferences and professional meetings inside and outside the country.


Mr. Tariq Salari (Extension and Rural Development) 

Mr. Salari was born in 1987. In 2014 he obtained his Master of Science (MSc.) degree at Szent Istvan University, Hungary, concentrating on rural development and agribusiness. He worked as a consultant with government and private sector, at the same time he is a lecturer at Kabul Univiersty and teaches rural development, agricultural extension, and project management.   


Mr. Safiullah Khuram (Natural Resources Management (NRM))

Mr. Khuram was born in 1986. In 2015 he obtained his Master of Science (MSc) degree at Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, USA, concentrating on Natural Resource Management (NRM) of Afghanistan (Purdue/USAID Afghan Merit Scholar Fellowship). He worked as a teaching assistant at Purdue University in 2014.  He has membership of different professional and academic societies such as: Junior faculty member of forestry and NR department of Kabul University, Afghanistan Wildlife Executive Committee Member, National Examination Committee Member, Kandahar Agriculture Institute Educational Foundation Committee Member. Currently, he works as assistant professor at Kabul University and conducting research on Afghanistan forest and national resources.


Mr. Noorjan Zazai (Poultry Nutrition and Management)   

Mr. Zazi was born in 1986. In 2015 he obtained his Master of Science (MSc) degree at Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, USA, concentrating on Poultry Nutrition and management (Purdue/USAID Afghan Merit Scholar Fellowship). He worked as a teaching assistant at Purdue University in 2014. He is conducting research and teaching at Kabul University. He attended numerous conferences and professional meetings inside and outside the country. 


Ms. Fuzia Mumtaz (Plant Protection)

Ms. Mumtaz obtained his Master of Science (MSc) degree at Purdue University, Department of Plant Protection, and West Lafayette, USA in 2014. She worked as a teaching assistant at Purdue University in 2013. After her graduation, she jointed with Kabul University and teaches subjects such as pest management, field crop diseases, introductory plant pathology, principle of plant disease management and etc. Ms. Mumtaz attended numerous conferences and professional meetings inside and outside the country.   


Mr. Shams Rahman Rahmani (Soil and Irrigation Management)

Mr. Rahmani was born 1985. In 2014 he obtained his Master of Science (MSc) degree at Purdue University, Department of Agronomy, West Lafayette, IN, USA, concentrating on Digital Soil Mapping of Afghanistan (Purdue/USAID Afghan Merit Scholar Fellowship). He has membership of different professional and academic societies such as American Society of Agronomy (ASA), Soil Science Society of America (ASSS), Crop Science Society of America (CSSA), Soil and Water Conservation Society (SWCS).  He is conducting research and teaching at Kabul University. Mr. Rahmani has published numerous journal articles on Soil and Agronomy issues particularly in the area of Soil fertility, Soil and Water Conservation, field experimental design etc. He also attended numerous conferences and professional meetings inside and outside the country. 


Mr. Mohammad Hanif afzali (Horticulture)

Mr.  Afzali was born in 1975. In 2014 he obtained his Master of Science (MSc) degree at Miyzazki University, Department of Horticulture, concentrating on Development of Effective Irrigation Management for High Yield and Fruit Quality of Tomato. Since 2002 he has been working as vegetable & fruits technical member at Research Institute of Afghanistan (ARIA). In 2014 he started his work as the head of irrigation at Agricultural, Research Institute of Afghanistan (ARIA). He attended in many workshops, seminars, presentations, conferences inside and outside the country. 


Mr. Faiz Rahman Rahmani (Animal Science)

Mr. Rahmani was born in 1992. He completed his Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in animal husbandry at Kabul University in 2013.  Since last two years he has been working and conducting research at Kabul University. He teaches subjects such as zoology, poultry science, microbiology, feed and feeding, and animal husbandry.  

 

Mr. Ahmad Noor Stanakzai (Agricultural Marketing)

Mr.  Stanakzai was born in 1990. He completed his Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Agricultural Economic at Kabul University in 2012.  Since last three years he has been working in agricultural marketing with government and private sector. He worked as agricultural marketing advisor with Baghban-e-Bozurg Agriculture Services Center. At the same time he is teaching and conducting research at Al- Beroni University. He conducted different research on grape, dairy marketing.  


Mr. Tahir Safi (Agronomy) 

Mr. Safi was born in 1988. He completed his Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Agronomy at Kabul University in 2012. Since 2013 he is conducting research and teaching at Kabul University. His research areas included biotechnology and physiology.  Mr. Safi published journal and conference articles on wheat.
